New AI Security Tool Launches for MSP Market
Security technology firm Blumira has launched an AI-powered SOC Auto-Focus tool to help managed service providers detect, understand and respond to security threats faster and with greater accuracy, according to company reports. The tool is designed to operate out-of-the-box with no extended training period, providing immediate insights into security events and correlating related findings.

Beyond Traditional Chatbot Capabilities
“SOC Auto-Focus isn’t just another chatbot,” Blumira CEO Matthew Warner told CRN in an interview. Sources indicate the tool differs from other AI solutions by being tightly integrated with existing detection workflows rather than requiring upfront model training. “It’s here to help teams work through investigations faster, to guide them with clear next steps and to teach them over time,” Warner stated.
Bridging Knowledge Gaps for Security Teams
Analysts suggest the tool functions as a built-in security analyst assistant that automatically connects findings across users and timeframes. Travis Short, SOC analyst at NineStar Connect, reported that the tool translates technical alerts into plain language summaries, pointing directly to the impact. “It bridges the knowledge gap instantly, saving me from spending time digging through logs or Googling for answers,” Short said in a statement.
Extensive Development and Validation Process
The report states that Blumira spent more than 18 months developing and validating the AI engine, working with its incident detection engineering team to ensure recommendation accuracy. “We created a scoring framework to evaluate every AI output,” the CEO explained. “Through that tuning, we’ve gotten from 78 percent to about 97 percent high-quality response rates, and we’re not stopping there.”
Industry Context and Future Roadmap
The launch coincides with what sources indicate are updates to Blumira’s MSP partner program, which offers rebates, co-marketing support, and certification pathways. Similar to how KPMG reportedly scales Google’s Gemini Enterprise AI platform and Plaid’s CEO predicts AI automation in financial services, Blumira is positioning its technology as transformative for security operations. Looking ahead to 2026, the company is planning to expand platform integrations, including two-way support for professional services automation tools.
Broader Technology Landscape
The development comes amid significant activity in the enterprise AI space, with Microsoft Azure launching public preview capabilities for cross-subscription functionality. Meanwhile, other sectors face different challenges, as regional banks reportedly confront loan default crises in auto securities and Federal Reserve officials warn of stability risks in financial markets.
Human-Centric AI Approach
Warner emphasized that SOC Auto-Focus aims to enhance rather than replace human analysts. “It’s not about removing people from the loop,” he stated. “It’s about making them better at what they do and helping them feel confident while doing it.” The approach appears consistent with what analysts suggest is a growing trend toward augmented intelligence systems across multiple industries.
