The study, published Wednesday, found people’s use of AI fluctuates wildly based on time of day, month, and device. On mobile, health and fitness was the third most common topic, showing users increasingly see it as a source of personal advice. Desktop use, predictably, was dominated by “work and career” queries during business hours. The researchers also noted spikes in “religion and philosophy” chats late at night and surges in “relationships” talk around Valentine’s Day in February. The core finding is a clear split: desktop for career, mobile for personal guidance.
The split personality of AI

We might get desktop agents built for efficiency and crunching data—basically, a super-powered productivity sidekick.
